BREAKTRHOUGH!

As I write this blog, our church has been 71 days in Morning, Noon and Night prayer in seeking breakthrough for our church.   We have been praying for financial breakthroughs for many of our people to find jobs, for our church to be able to restore full salaries to our staff but most of all to see a breakthrough in faith that God is going to keep his promises that he has given to us individually and as a church.   As it stands right now we have seen at least three of our people receive jobs,  as a church we have been able to pay our lease on time last month for the first time in three months and have been able to add back about $1500 to the staff salaries.  These are not earth shaking answers to our prayers but it is moving in the right direction.  But the most noticible thing I have seen from our intense time of prayer is two things….  (1) We have seen an amazing unity form in the hearts of those who are regularly praying with us.   Over half the church has become involved in our 90 Day Prayer effort and it has drawn us closer in heart and mind.  I have listened as people have shared the deep concerns of their hearts and others have earnestly prayed for them and in turn shared their hearts.  (2) I have also seen a tremendous increase in the presence of the Lord in our worship on Sunday Mornings.  I have noticed in my preaching lately, there is a tremendous sense of God’s presence and his touch in our ministry to people.  I BELIEVE OUR BREAKTHROUGH IS ON IT’s WAY!

But,  I believe we must continue praying till the full answers come.  Someone once asked how long they should keep praying about a matter.  The answer that was given was that we are to keep praying until we get an answer.  I agree.  We have ninteen days left in our 90 Days of Prayer.  Let’s stay faithful!  The bible says “we should always pray and not lose heart.” (Lk.18:1)  I believe our answers are close and now is not the time to let go!  I do not know how God is going to answer our prayers but I am convinced God is good and is moving in answer to our intense prayer effort.  Remember,  there is no faith if there is no test.  Let’s let our faith grow and hold strong until our answers come.  In the mean time, we can encourage ourselves with the many things that we know the Lord has already done for us. Right?!

Blessings
