Give God 90 Days // The Plan

North Valley Christian Fellowship is facing one of it’s most critical moments in its 27 years of history. We are being greatly effected by the economic down turn. We have had to cut our staff salaries repeatedly and are now facing the real possibility of not being able to pay our basic bills. Does that mean that God does not love us or is through with us? No, not at all. As our Elders have prayed and sought council with other leaders in our church, we are more and more aware that God is ready to give a great testimony to our Church IF WE WILL GET ON OUR KNEES AND PRAY! The difference between the Church and the World is that we have a resource that no one else has… the Lord himself!

For such a time as this, God has called us to model to our community that our God is JEHOVAH JIRAH (Our Provider). As church leaders we have cut costs and done all we know to do inorder to avert financial problems. Now, it us up to God! And God expects us to cry out to him for the help we need. In Jeremiah 29:12-13 we read … “Then you shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I shall listen to you. And you shall seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart.” We must believe the Lord and sincerely and earnestly pray. If we humble our hearts and pray and fast, he will surely answer us.

THEREFORE WE ARE GOING TO GIVE GOD 90 DAYS OF MORNING, NOON and NIGHT PRAYER to urgently ask the Lord with a united voice to help us. We will launch this prayer effort this coming Sunday (September 20th and run it through to December 14th). Please go to our web site and click on the GIVE GOD 90 DAYS site and get all the information for this prayer effort. We will also be giving instructions and testimonies in our Sunday Services and Bulletin. What I want to do here is to lay out in this blog several lessons to help anyone who may have questions about how to pray and how to fast as we go into this time of intensive prayer. Please pass the word if you find those who simply need a refresher in how to pray and fast.
