theHOUSE Weekly 4/28/09

Hello All!

I hope you are having a fantastic week so far. Here’s whats coming up…

THOUGHTS ABOUT SEX AND DATING

Well tomorrow night is the last night of an awesome journey theHOUSE has been taking with sex and dating and what the bible has to say about it. tomorrow we look forward to talking about God’s Design for sex, and what to do it you’ve already messed up. We have seen this is a big issue facing students today, as our numbers sharply increase as soon as we started this series! We got to answer a lot of questions last week, and we are looking forward to seeing some changed lives this week. Please be praying with us, and talking to your students about this very large issue.

BIGwednesday

Next Wednesday we will not be meeting at church. Our BIGwednesday will be at Cal Skate in Milpitas 980 Los Coches Street Milpitas, CA 95035 at 630pm and students will need to be picked up by 930pm. the cost ill be: $10 per person. We look forward to meeting some new faces! (Pick up and drop off will be at cal skate. not transportation will be provided unless arranged ahead of time with one of our leaders, food is not included, students will need to bring money for food at cal skate, or eat before they come.)

PARENT’S SUMMER MEETING

We will be meeting together as parents, leaders, and youth on June 7th after church to talk about our upcoming summer calendar and what you can do to prepare and partner with us! Check outhttp://summer.morethanpirates.com for more info about our summer. lunch will be provided.

HOMELESS OUTREACH

Drew has been heading up our Homeless outreach at Oasis in Downtown San Jose across from St. James park. our next outreach will be May 24th (sunday). We will meet at NVCF at 3:30pm. The youth will be putting on a service and serving food for up to 100 homeless folks in the downtown area. We would love for you, parents, to join us for this incredible time! more info relating directly to Oasis homeless outreach can be found by email Drew areyes87@pacbell.net.

PRAYER PROJECT

We have challenged our youth and leaders in a new prayer project. Recently the cement company, which is at 1 Hanson Ct., has moved out and the property has been vacant for some time. Our interest was peaked, and as we began to pray about it, we felt we needed to make this a prayer project for our ministry. We feel that facility would transform into an amazing youth center, not just for NVCF but for the whole city. We ask you to be praying with us, as there is now way we could afford to buy the land, but we believe, if this is in God’s will, he will find a way!
