Why is life only here?  The most powerful telescopes in the world and one stationed in orbit around it… all are looking for life on other plants in other galaxies.  We are shooting rockest in different directions into space and soon will have a rocket with a powerful telescope orbiting around the Sun.  All looking for one thing, life besides us.  For 38 years the US Government’s Seti Program (Searching for Extra Terresterial Intellegence)  has been listening into space with electronic telescops.  Not a peep?  Nothing we can define as a sign of intellegence.  They have found other Suns with planets going around them…. but none found in orbits that allow life as we know it.  We seem to be quite a lone.  Life like we have here on Earth is quite rare it seems.  Why?  Why are we the only “evolutionary” success if evolution is at work in all the universe?  Not one peep!  Not one hello from anywhere in the Cosmos except from your neighor across the street.  Sorry for the morbid thought but if we blew ourselves us up, conscious life would wink out in the universe.  Interesting. 

But, even though we may not be getting communication coming from way out there, we have found amazing communications coming from within us.  In the mid 1990’s we mapped the human genome (DNA).  As then President Clinton stated… “we found God speaking to us.”  Human DNA is an amazing message of where we as humans have come from, how we have progressed as a race and tells us how we can even eventually understand how to fix ourselves.  Wow, God wrote directions in how to fix our bodies.  Pretty impressive.   We strain so hard to here a whisper from out there and God has been talking to us all this time from with in our very self.  Funny is it not.  But if God left such detailed notes about our body, what about our soul (you know, the unique human quality that thinks, that yearns for meaning and purpose)?  Did he not leave any instructions for how to live, how to love, how to get along?  Well, better than that, he came among us and showed us how to live and brought some fresh messages from our creator.  The creator deeply loves us.  His son clearly delivered that message.  He is aware of our problems and is actually close to everyone one of us and is ready to help.  Maybe we should stop listening into space so hard and start listening to our hearts?  It is clear, our creator speaks best in side of us.  The bible says, “call to the Lord and he will answer you.”  How?  In what way will He answer?  I  do not know but he seems to be pretty clever. Call and then just listen.
