Hey y’all

here’s what we got for this week…

THANKSGIVING SCHEDULE

As most of you know, every year Thanksgiving falls on a thursday, which means our yearly thanksgiving eve service falls on the day before, wednesday. There will be no Wednesday Night Live on November 25, instead the youth will be participating with the larger church and Christ Community Church of Milpitas for the thanksgiving eve service. Service starts at 6pm in the Sanctuary.

BIGwednesday

December 2nd will be our next BIGwednesday. The event will be a leaders MALL HUNT: Christmas Edition!! More details to come…

SUNDAY

On the 2nd-4th Sundays of the month, the youth head back to the youth room for our bible study “The Bible: God’s love letter to us” where we cover one book of the bible, chronologically, every week. This week Madison Timberlake will be teaching out of Ester.

HABITS

We are in week five of our Wednesday Night Live teaching series “Habits.” Scott did a great job teaching last week on the importance of being involved in a church, and he is doing the follow up message this week!

TUGGLE

We have started an online community for those who are part of theHOUSE Student Ministries. its called “Tuggle”. i know thats a funky name, but hopefully a memorable one. our direct link is http://thehouse.tuggle.it, or you can find a link on our website http://thehousemilpitas.org. the
format will be very familiar to anyone who has a myspace or facebook, but it is meant specially for internal use within our community. every new member is screen by our team, and there are loads of built in safety features. this is, in a nutshell, going to be the best way for your student to be connected with us! going to a camp? GREAT! we’ll already have all of the information we need, so you dont need to fill out those pesky information forms. want to make sure your student is always in the know with theHOUSE? GREAT! using some built in communication features, we will always be able to connect with your student and make sure them, and you, always have all the information you need!

616 S. Main St. Milpitas, CA. well be there from 630-830pm. cost is $14 for two hours (or $9 for one hour) or FREE if you just want to come and hang out. if you can stay late, well be heading to taco bell on main street, just walking distance from great jump, for a late dinner.

SUNDAYS - WE’RE BACK!!!

Yes, you heard right, starting this Sunday, YOUTH SUNDAY’S ARE BACK. Starting sunday september 6th, our new sunday youth schedule will be as follows: 1st sunday of the month, the youth will be leading worship in the main service, and staying to particpate with the adults for the message; 2nd-4th sunday the youth will leave at the meet and greet break at 11am for a youth service in the youth room; and on any 5th sundays, the youth will either help out in 1st-6th grade classrooms or join in the main service. we are so very excited to be back in our youth room on sundays, and when we start up again, we will continue our survey of the bible!

LEADERS NEEDED!

we have been blessed with an amazing leadership team, and a growth in numbers, so we are currently looking for more leaders to join our team! there is no one model for the person we look for, whether your old or young, trained or not, male or female, high energy or reserved, there is a place for you! we are looking for adults (over 18) who LOVE the Lord, and LIKE students. anywhere from camps, to Wednesdays nights, to bible studies, to fun events, to small groups, to prayer, there are so many ways YOU can be involved with the youth of this church! interested? contact albert at the church office for more details!

theHOUSE Student Ministries
NORTH VALLEY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Dear NVCF Family and Friends,

North Valley has been my home as I have grown up in the bay area, and in the last 3 1/2 years, has been my place of ministry. I have been so blessed to share in God’s work here in Milpitas with you all these past years. As most of you know, God has been stirring up in me a desire to finish my education in ministry, and now i feel, after much prayer and deliberation, is the right time to go in this direction.

In January, I will be moving to Simi Valley (North Los Angeles) to attend Eternity Bible College to finish my bachelor’s degree in Bible Studies. I am so very excited, not just for what God will be doing in me, but for what God will be doing at theHOUSE Student Ministries and North Valley Christian Fellowship.

It was with bittersweet feelings that i resigned from my post here as the youth pastor at NVCF, excited for what the future holds, but saddened to leave my friends and family here in Milpitas. God has greater things in store for theHOUSE Student Ministries and NVCF, and i am honored to have been a part of the story of God’s great plan for this community.

I would be remiss not to include this, as my parents, who have gracefully decided to support my endeavor, would absolutely have a cow if i did not include a plea for financial support in this letter. If this is something you could prayerfully consider as I undertake this financial burden, I, and my endeavor-supporting parents, would greatly appreciate it.

I’ll be hanging around until January, continuing to speak at various gatherings both inside and outside NVCF and oversee the transition of leadership as i prepare to leave. I ask for your prayers as I undertake this new challenge in life. You all will always be my family and i am so excited to hear reports of amazing things from NVCF.
